The Regenerative Village Project
The RVP is creating a Village, Venue and Farm in mid-Wales, all exploring Paradigm Shift towards a way of life that is in harmony with ourselves, other people near and far, and more-than-human nature.
The Village
is envisaged as 40 dwellings + community spaces which are home to 100-150 people exploring deep intergenerational community, connection, healing and resilience in the context of paradigm shift.
The Venue
is conceived of as the Regenerative Music Institute (the RMI) and something of a Temple. A barefoot, sober, sacred space for creativity, healing and whatever else wants to emerge; involving a retreat centre that can sleep 20, plus camping and an eco spa. See Pinterest boards for the retreat centre here and here.
The Farm
is to be a regenerative community farm with great leadership and lots of participation, by which we feed ourselves, our visitors and the local area, with organic fruit and veg, meat and dairy, pulses grains nuts flowers honey herbs wild foods and renewable energy. The farm will put the soils, waters, bio-diversity and mycelium first!
Wild Land
We intend for there also to be some wild land and woodland.

“Rediscovering practical, beautiful ways of connecting people to each other and land, through the place they live and work, has to be an essential part of our future. Making that happen with intent and careful design, as the Regenerative Village Project will show, is where the real magic can happen.” - Andy Middleton, Innovator, Entrepreneur, Welsh Assembly Innovation Unit, the Do Lectures, Institute of Sustainable Practice Innovation.

“A thriving, life-enhancing community is more like a self-organizing ecosystem than a machine or a hierarchically structured corporation, more like an organic mycelial network of soul-initiated adults than an apparatus assembled by strategic planners. Briony and her colleagues have the vision and skill to grow such a community — an essential adventure in this time of (finally) reconsidering everything.”
~ Bill Plotkin, author of Soulcraft, founder of Animas Valley Institute.

“Briony has for many years been a leading voice in voice leadership and with that goes a gift for how to bring people together and nourish them. This goes beyond just the ability to find voice with RVP and is about creating a space for developing that work and those gifts Briony is so sensitive in sparking. This is space that i know will grow and grow.” Sam Lee, folk singer +.

“I felt extremely inspired and moved when Briony explained to me her multi-layered and highly ambitious, vision for the Regenerative Village Project. I feel that Briony has really done the groundwork and has begun the planting of seeds for what I imagine is going to be an incredible offering and resource for everyone involved. With Briony’s leadership skills and clear potent vision, I look forward to seeing the project manifest into a great gift and contribution towards a more harmonious way of living together and with the land.” Jessica Howie, 5 Rhythms teacher and co-founder and director of Wild Honey Wholefoods.
This is estimated to be a £10m project. Divided by 100 adults that’s £100,000 per person, over decades, which we feel is doable, so we’re beginning.
The RVP is a living learning experiment as we help one another shift, systemically and intimately, from one paradigm we are deeply steeped in the habits of, towards different ways of being and doing. We hope to make a home of deep belonging for many people, a place for visitors, in relation to local and wider community, and also a project which shares in ways that support wider paradigm shift.
The RVP exists for the protection and regeneration of soils, waters, biodiversity and the human community, with a spirit of improvisation, emergence, and as much as possible, love.
We are a small team in the early stages, currently speaking with investors about the first layer of funding.
